The discipline that’s required for a successful, regular work out can be easily sidelined
by circumstances of life – poor weather, a late night, an ’emergency’, travel, bad
hair, bad attitude, et al. It’s very challenging to setup a workout routine and maintain
it. This maintenance is even harder to keep up when you’re traveling, as addressed by
businesswoman, Soozan Baxter.
It normally was not a problem for Soozan to miss a work out when she was traveling
while on business, but a dramatic and unfortunate accident made it so that she had
to work out consistently or her limbs would stiffen and she would literally be unable to
proceed with her work and other activities. The determined Soozan and her innovative
personal trainer came up with a thorough toning and cardio work out that she practices
even while on the go. The full details of the work out are here, and I’ll cover a few
highlights in this blog article.
First, Soozan warms up in the living room or room where there’s the most space. This
involves stretching fully and doing some lunges to warm up and stretch out her leg
muscles. Then she takes the workout to the bathroom, where she utilizes the height of
the bathtub in order to get a better workout while doing push ups. She does 20 push-
ups with her arms wide while placed on the ledge of the bathtub, and then she turns
around and does 20 tricep dips with her hands on the edge as well. After a few more
exercises in the bathroom, Soozan moves back into the living room for some cool down
exercises – followed by another trip to the bathroom for a shower.
These exercises, which are illustrated in the DVD described in the link, can make it
possible to maintain an excellent and comprehensive program of fitness even when a
hotel doesn’t have a gym or it’s not convenient to find a work out option. It’s worth it to
keep the routine going and reap the rewards of a well functioning, fine tuned body, while
making the adventure of eating on the road more fun, too!
